Welcome!

International award winning author and design journalist Carol Soucek King invites you to join her as she explores, through her books and her monthly salons, the spiritually creative life.

Dr. King lives in Pasadena, California, where she has established the Arroyo del Rey Foundation not only to preserve her home designed by architects Buff & Hensman and now designated by City of Pasadena a Historic Monument, but also to support the programs she offers and tours she welcomes. The programs - in philosophy, the arts, architecture and humanities - provide an ongoing, interdisciplinary forum created to inspire uplifted thought through a deepened awareness of universal interconnectedness. Under the auspices of the Foundation, her Salon on the Spiritually Creative Life, founded in 1996, and now seen virtually on zoom, is held the second Sunday of each month, 9:30 a.m. PST. The Lyceums, held throughout the year and serving the same inspirational purpose as the Salon, are in-person gatherings at Arroyo del Rey in Pasadena.
